As you would expect, Jesus Christ is central to Alliance belief and teaching. He is Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. The Alliance emphasizes the need for a genuine spiritual conversion to Christ, a Spirit-filled life and dedicated, effective service. In 1965 the Alliance adopted a formal doctrinal statement, but it simply reinforced the scriptural truths Alliance people had held from the beginning.
One of the historical characteristics that distinguishes The Christian and Missionary Alliance from other evangelical bodies is its compelling concern for reaching a lost world and bringing them into maturity in Christ.
All followers of Jesus are called upon to be "on mission" and sharing the good news of the Gospel locally, nationally and internationally. We are all missionaries in that sense.
The Alliance overseas missionary work is financed through contributions of Alliance people who make” faith promises”. These designated gifts go to the C&MA Great Commission Fund from which the expenses of the missionary work are funded.
